Sentiment presents a newly commissioned solo exhibition by the multidisciplinary artist Deborah Joyce Holman. Sitting in the tensions between the value and danger of legible representation, Holman explores absence as a radically Black and queer counter-neoliberal stance through a series of new oil paintings. These take as their starting point the depiction of the Black dyke interior home space in contemporary film and television in negotiations with questions of refusal and visibility in popular culture.
