Ilaria Vinci transforms the entrance area into a fireplace. People gather around fire, exchange stories, discuss, drink and play together. The installation also refers to mythological figures such as Phoenix. When the life span of Phoenix was over, the bird set its nest on fire and burned in the flames. A young Phoenix emerged from the pyre, which is why the story became a metaphor for rebirth and resilience. But the phrase «like Phoenix from the ashes» also stands for the collapse of an old system and the emergence of old values in a new guise. In the Dada house and the context of then and current events, this reference is not taken out of the air.

The artisanal object landscapes of ektor garcia refuse fixed attributes or meanings, break down hierarchies, and adopt a DIY attitude. Due to a configuration that is possible at any time, his works never achieve a final status and make static cultural attributions impossible. In their fragmentarily evoked history, the objects are transnational, transcultural, queer, and hierarchically horizontal.

Stefan Burger exhibits two luminaire objects in the library which will light up the room as well as, hopefully, the visitors’ moods. The sculptures, made from poured glass and aluminum, continue Burger’s work with art as a commodity which he began at the Cabaret Voltaire in 2020. The notions that can be attributed to the sculptures fluctuate between pretty and ugly, pedantic and snotty, decorative and useful, disgusting and erotic.
